Our Approach

As a psychotherapist I provide a safe, supportive and authentic approach to the challenges and difficulties that keep people stuck in unproductive and unhealthy ways of thinking. In a warm, relaxed setting, I can help clients develop pragmatic and creative problem solving tools and self care strategies. We will work in a collaborative fashion on identifying the individual thoughts, perceptions, sensory, motor planning profile to understand how these factors affect ones feelings, moods and actions.

My clinical style integrates training from psychodynamic, eastern philosophy and western evidence based practice. I view psychotherapy as a unique opportunity for my clients to clarify goals and intentions, reduce stress, better understand themselves and relationships with others, as well as to take steps for personal growth.

I strive to provide a non-judgmental environment for clients to identify and nurture personal strengths, talents and creative abilities. A goal of the collaborative therapeutic approach is for clients to become resilient, enhance self-esteem and achieve a more balanced, satisfying and fulfilling life. My clients often report that as a result of psychotherapy they feel

  1. grounded and comfortable with themselves
  2. new clarity of purpose in their lives
  3. confident in their relationships and
  4. better able to deal with the many stresses of our complex and often confusing world.

Worrying and suffering alone do not have to be a way of life. Guilt, fear, anger and old negative patterns and habititudes can block you from having those peak moments in life. Recognizing potentials and exploring the endless possibilities to having the life you truly want can be a reality. One Great question underlies our experience, whether we think about it consciously or not: What is our purpose in life? Gently exploring clients’ inner resources and strengths in order to experience greater joy, control and freedom. One of the mind’s most marvelous qualities is that it can be transformed with mindful practice and we can tap into the source of contentment that lives deep within each of us. Together, we will discover that by accessing the source of joy inside us, we access a sense of happiness that doesn’t vary with the ups and downs of everyday life.
